The speed limit in Shady Lake is 10 mph. We've had frequent incidents of near-misses with drivers coming through at excessive speeds. Please drive with caution through our neighborhood, and remind delivery vehicles of our speed limit. Thanks in advance for keeping the community safe.

Membership in the Shady Lake Park Property Owner's Association (SLPPOA) is optional, and includes:
Membership Fee: $500.00 per household. Payment is Due by May 1 of every year. Road dues ($125) must be paid-in-full before you can join the Association.
A payment plan is available:
All residents pay mandatory Road Dues of $125
This is the annual assessment for every home within Shady Lake for maintenance of our roads. Due date is February 1 each year. If you are on the coupon payment plan, they are due December 1.
Membership in the Shady Lake Park Property Owner's Association (SLPPOA) is optional, and includes:
- Access to the lake for fishing and boating
- An olympic size pool
- Events held Spring through Fall, including barbecues, music, dances, bingo, and events for kids
- A clubhouse, playground, grills and picnic areas
- The opportunity to rent the clubhouse for private events (birthdays, showers, graduations, etc.)
- Access to trails for hiking and dog-walking
- Tree farm harvests for firewood

- Deadline to sign up for the payment plan is November 18
- Road Dues $125 (Mandatory) - Due December 1 of every year.
- Membership fee of $500 is paid in 5 installments of $100.00 each. Payments are due the 1st of the month from January through May.
